Read what our Volunteers and Visitors have to say about our Shelter; What a wonderful experience! You have great people at the shelter to welcome volunteers. I know that is invaluable to your success. We were shocked at how much work goes into the daily maintenance of the shelter for the animals. They have a great place to live until their forever home. I am unable to commit to any schedule due to family issues but Georgeann and I discussed trying to do this two Sat. each month. We will be sharing our great experience and the knowledge about the care and needs of the shelter, also. Judy Harmon
We wanted to send a note of thanks to all of the staff for helping with the adoption of our new kitty “Cody” on Sunday, January 11th, 2009. It was out first visit to the Dawson County Humane Society and what a pleasant one it was. Everyone working that day were so courteous and showed a great amount of patience and professionalism. Our special thanks to “Kaye” for all the hard work in keeping the kitty area and cages so clean. It was also very obvious that she spends a lot of quality time with the kitties as ours is so friendly and loving. Kaye is a BIG asset to your organization-------------NEVER let her go! Hopefully, anyone who reads this will know that there are many wonderful companions to be found and adopted at the Dawson County Humane Society. It’s so good to know that the homeless animals have such caring people as yourselves taking good care of them. We are so proud that Dawson County has finally gotten a rescue shelter for all of our homeless, furry friends and we wish you great success in the coming years. Thanks again for all you do.
