Our Rescues: Where are they Now? |
|
 | I thought you might enjoy seeing some pictures of "Lucky". The kids renamed him "Jackson" when I brought him home. He is absolutely huge! He is absolutely a great source for entertainment as you can see in the photos. I wanted to make sure you knew how happy I am with my Dawson County Humane society Adoption! Buffie R. | We adopted Adam in January 2006 from the Dawson County Humane Society, and he has come a long way since then. When Animal control found him both his front legs were broken, but you'd never know that now! He loves his trail rides with the horses and has shown his affection for my horse, Malike, by kissing him on the face a couple of times. What a charmer! He also has a female canine companion, Bridget, whom he adores and spends countless hours playing "steal the tennis ball" with. We're so thankful for the joy he brings us! Valerie Warburton | | Right after the Shelter opened a lady brought a small puppy in. It was laying on a piece of wood and had a large gash in its' neck. It was unable to move anything except its' eyes which would follow you around. Several volunteers pitched in money to try and save him. He was called Little Bear at the shelter. We wound up adopting him and he has brought such joy to our lives. We call him Luke (for "Cool Hand Luke)and he runs the household. He still has some neurological issues but does great. He is 60 lbs. now. Thanks to those who cared enough to give him a chance. Te & Brenda Lee | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
