Our 2007 Yard Sale!

Thanks to everyone who came out and supported the Dawson County Humane Society's 4th annual yard sale. The weather was gorgeous and the turnout from the community was great.

It's held every year at the Kroger parking lot, at the corner of highways 400 and 53.  Thanks to Kroger for their hospitality.  The DCHS had tables full of donated items, and many individuals set up their own tables too.  (Click any photo to see it larger.)
You just never know what you're going to find at these yard sales.

Our volunteers worked the tables, selling cookbooks, baked goods, and raffle tickets, and collecting money for the items sold.  We also brought some adoptable kitties and introduced them to the crowd.

Some customers brought their own pets to the event.  And thanks to Dahlonega radio station WKHC, Gold 104.3, for bringing their van and giving us a lot of good music and free publicity.

Seriously, you never know what you're going to find at a yard sale.  Anyone remember 8-track tapes?

This event is organized every year by Carol Jarvis and Tim Biggie. This event would not be possible without their hard work and dedication. For all of us, thank you, Carol and Tim. Thanks, everyone, for a great event!
